Newton’s Laws apply.

A practical guide to the Laws of the Universe. How to use the workings of the Universe to shape your journey in it.

Life exists in a constant state of flux. Our experiences operate on a seesaw plane, from one moment to the next in one fluid motion. Newton’s Laws apply. What goes up, will come down. Whichever action you give momentum to will continue. Then isn’t it so that once you have been broken you will heal? That once you fall down you will get up? And that once you become consciously aware of the workings of the universe around you, that you can master your own.

Matters of the soul often need realigning when residue corrodes the progress of your healing. When you find yourself within the throws of these inevitable states of inconsistency, be compelled to readjust so that your onward journey can prosperously continue. But how do you readjust when calamity occurs? How do you clean away corrosion left by previous states of adversity and deflation? How can you move forward from the current state you are in and find the next level of consciousness, of healing and growth? Let the Laws of the Universe guide you.

Don’t stagnate. Newton’s First Law states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion unless acted upon by an external force. Whichever thought you give momentum to will continue. Therefore it will serve you to apply a conducive and favorable attempt to your thoughts, your perceptions, and your perspectives. The Universe will do its work in restoring equilibrium once you supply positive force to any temporary state that does not serve the purpose of your growth, healing or happiness. It takes a conscious effort on your part to inspire forward movement. At times when your progression seems halted, remind yourself of Newton’s First Law. Remind yourself that you can’t move forward unless you take that first step, make that first move or act upon the focus to see its acceleration.

Even an apple has to fall to the ground – it’s just gravity and the laws of attraction that exists between it and the earth. Newton’s Law of Gravitation states all particles of matter in the universe attract each other through the force of gravity. You know from the First Law that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion unless acted upon by an external force. Once acceleration has started, force is present, and the pull between the apple and the earth naturally occurs. How does this apply to you? Once you set yourself in motion towards a conscious journey of growth, happiness or healing, you will inevitably reach new heights and consciousness. Any object, situation or occurrence that comes your way due to that progressive effort is as a result of a force of attraction between you and it. Revel in the universal gift of your newly acquired manifestations: that to which you focus on, go toward, seek to, and yearn for will all be brought to you. It is Law. But you have to learn to trust in the things you cannot see. Much has been said about how you apply yourself in order to progress, but what must be remembered is that the Universe works for you regardless of the state you’re in. So when you feel that gravity takes its toll on you and your progression, like you are doing all you can to apply efforts towards growth and healing but nothing moves forward, the universe reminds you that it will restore the balance. It will level you out. It is Law.

Continue in a perpetual state of euphoria. Apply motion only to that which serves the greater good of your healing. Exist where you find the sweet-spot of constant ascension in emotion and feeling. It is not to say that there is weakness in feeling sadness, pain and the rust in your bones that adversity leaves behind. It is just that it has no place in the realignment of your soul. If you can vibrate and glow deep within your core with utter warmth so much that you feel as if the sun’s core exists in yours, you will unlock all the beauty the Universe has to offer. It is quite natural for weak, painful and sad thoughts to crop into your being. It is your job to become acutely aware of those thoughts in order to replace them with the feel-good ones – with the ones that’ll help you progress, apply acceleration and guide you with the gravitational pull towards that which we desire. When negative, sad, residual thoughts linger, make work of them to disappear. Set yourself a fool-proof thought of utter delight that you can replace the creeping negatives ones with. And each time you will be stronger. Each time you will conquer it. Until one day when you don’t even realize (because you’re too busy with well-serving thoughts) the residue fades.

Cancel external forces with inner strength. Once you master the art of balancing your inner pivot point, your core, you will operate in a state of equilibrium bliss. The inevitability of your constant state of flux results from the constant promise of challenges and experiences regardless of which part of the journey you’re on. Life does become quite simple when you understand this. There will be moments that bring you to your knees, but there will be moments that inspire you to rise from them. Your inner pivot point is the core that realigns any force. You have what it takes within you to withstand any external force that may come your way. This is the true beauty of your part in the Universe – it gives you the tools through strength to rise above and be humbled by understanding the undeniable forces at work – all to realize you are that strength, that strength rests within you – it is yours alone. Your inner strength has the capacity to overthrow any external force. Resist the toppling magnitude when darkness forces you toward imbalance. If you can keep the very core of your being vibrating with strength through both adversity and bliss, darkness and light, you will be content – moreover, healed.

Temporary constellations of matter in an impartial universe of constant flux, we will come and go as living-dying testaments to Rachel Carson’s lyrical observation that “against this cosmic background the lifespan of a particular plant or animal appears, not as drama complete in itself, but only as a brief interlude in a panorama of endless change.” The measure of our lives — the worthiness or worthlessness of them — resides in the quality of being with which we inhabit the interlude – Maria Popova
